LaFortune Park Plaza HOA
The LaFortune Park Plaza HOA is sponsoring the Yard Of The Month program with the purpose of recognize residents who demonstrate above–average efforts in maintaining their property. Thereby they are contributing to the overall appearance of the Neighborhood.
All award winners receive an official Yard of the Month lawn sign, to be placed on their property for the duration of that month.
Yard of the Month winners must be willing to share photos of their property on our HOA and Next Door website.
For December Yard of the Month South Side goes the Smalley Family, at 6116 E 58th St & the corner of Maplewood Ave, this impressive light display spans the entire length of the Smalley’s corner lot on both the north and east sides, offering a sense of wondrous holiday excitement complete with dancing snowmen and Santa’s Sleigh. The Smalleys have been residents of LaFortune Park Plaza since 2003. We appreciate their festive spirit and contribution to our neighborhood this holiday season.
For November Yard of the Month South Side goes to the Gaston family at 5868 S Kingston Ave.
The Gastons has been a resident in our neighborhood for over a decade. Through out the year they have done an excellent job of keeping their yard healthy looking and well groomed.
The HOA would like to thank Gastons for their effort in keeping our neighborhood a desirable place to live in.
For September the Yard of the Month South Side goes to the Juliane at 6011 S Lakewood Ave.
Juliane is a long-time resident of our neighborhood and has seen a lot of changes over the years. Through the heat of the summer she has done an excellent job to keep her yard healthy and with color.
The HOA would like to thank Juliane for her effort in keeping our neighborhood as a desirable place to live in.
For July the Yard of the Month South Side goes to the Norris Family at 6047 E. 57th St.
The Norris is the next generation of their family to take ownership of this property this past year.
The home along with the yard has gone through a major transformation and their flowerbeds is a colorful showcase.
The HOA would like to thank the Norris Family for their efforts in keeping our neighborhood as a desirable place to live in.

For June the Yard of the Month South Side goes to the Woodard Family at 5895 S. Hudson Place.
The Woodards have lived in the neighborhood for 15 years and have a lovely yard. The HOA would like to thank Woodards for their efforts in keeping our neighborhood a desirable place to live in.
For May the Yard of the Month South Side goes to Jimi Kay at 5820 S Lakewood Ave.
Jimi Kay has lived in our neighborhood for about seven years. All the time that we have known her, she was always working in her garden and changing out the displays to match the seasons as well as the holidays. The HOA would like to thank Jimi Kay for their efforts in keeping our neighborhood a desirable place to live in.
